A wonderfully readable condensation of two of Baker's earlier, longer works recounting his self-sponsored expeditions into the Dark Continent to discover the sources of the Nile: The Albert N'Yanza, Great Basin Of The Nile (1866) and The Nile Tributaries Of Abyssinia (1867). And, of course, to bag a few elephants along the way. (Summary by Steven Seitel)

"In preparation of this book the author has had in mind the needs of the upper grammar grades. The subject matter has not been selected with the object of covering the field of Western geography in a systematic manner, but instead the attempt has been made to picture as graphically as may be some of its more striking and interesting physical features, and the influence which these features have exerted upon its discovery and settlement." Join Ethel and her four traveling companions as they visit Iceland in 1887. Rough seas, cold temperatures, and difficult riding do not deter them. (Curious listeners may want to read the author’s extensive table of monetary conversions on page 72 of the book.) (Summary by Jennifer Fournier) Jennifer Fournier, the narrator, would like to thank Mardah Cohen ...

Il suffit parfois d'un voyage pour changer de trajectoire de vie, de ville, de destin. Ce sont ces voyages mémorables que raconte "Trajectoires", le nouveau podcast signé EnVols. Belle écoute... Et bon voyage à nos côtés.
