In 2015, Laura Marshall decided to have a crack at her lifelong dream of becoming a novelist and enrolled on the Curtis Brown novel-writing course. Two years later, here she is with her debut novel Friend Request. Laura visits the Audible Studios discuss more about that journey and, of course, the novel itself.

Ruth Fitzmaurice is the author of I Found My Tribe, a critically acclaimed memoir which came about as the result of an article in the Irish Times that hit a real nerve with the public. In the book she writes about how her passion for swimming has helped her cope with the challenges of caring for a large family and a husband with motor neurone disease. Ruth visits the Audible Studios to tell us a bit more about the book.

Imran Mahmood is a criminal defence barrister of 20 years' experience, and his debut novel, You Don't Know Me, is the story of a defendant in a murder trial who falls out with his lawyer and decides to represent himself.

Hollie McNish visits the Audible Studios to talk about her book Nobody Told Me: Poetry and Parenthood. The book uses stories and poems to create a snapshot of motherhood, in which Hollie talks about everything from morning sickness and breastfeeding in public to the impossibility of ever finishing a hot cup of tea. Hollie has been performing poetry since 2005 and has gone viral on YouTube for her slick, poignant, political rhymes. She won the UK Slam Poetry Competition in 2009.
