Bei ihm ist der Name nicht nur Programm, es ist ein verdammter Spoiler. Und ich kleine Omega muss ausgerechnet mit diesem Teufel einen Handel eingehen, der … ja, der alles verändern könnte.

Eigentlich hätte alles so schön sein können. Ich wachse immer stärker mit dem Rudel zusammen, mein Alpha kümmert sich rührend um mich und auch mit meinem Wolf komme ich nach und nach klar. Und dennoch sind da diese dunklen Wolken, die jederzeit über uns hereinbrechen könnten. Warum habe ich nur das Gefühl, dass die Katastrophe nicht mehr lange auf sich warten lässt?

Keine Geheimnisse mehr. Das ist das Motto, das ich meinem Alpha einbläuen will. Ich bin es leid, ständig hingehalten und vertröstet zu werden – es ist an der Zeit für Antworten. Und die bekomme ich ... mehr, als mir lieb ist. Allerdings gibt es da noch ein großes Fragezeichen, was meinen Wolf betrifft, doch die Person, die etwas darüber weiß, ist wie vom Erdboden verschluckt. Und der Einzige, der vielleicht Licht ins Dunkle zu bringen vermag, ist ausgerechnet derjenige, der mir gefährlich werden könnte. Im doppelten Sinn, denn die Rede ist vom attraktivsten Wikinger der Welt: Fynn Hansen.

Was haben Amy Winehouse, Christian Grey und Picasso gemeinsam? Sie tauchen in meinem Leben auf. Wirklich. Na gut, nicht wirklich. Aber man könnte die zweite Hälfte meines ersten Omega-Tages und des Tages darauf tatsächlich in drei Etappen mit diesen Überschriften einteilen. Oh und nicht zu vergessen, der Titanic-Moment im High Line Park. Auf jeden Fall kommen die Geheimnisse meines Rudels so langsam ans Licht – ich bin aber auch mittlerweile eine hervorragende Rudel-Journalistin geworden.

Dass ich mal als Lebensretterin bezeichnet werde, hätte ich auch nicht gedacht. Und doch bin ich nicht stolz darauf, denn es ist das, was jede Omega an meiner Stelle tun würde. Der Alpha braucht meine Hilfe und ich bin für ihn da. Gleichzeitig gerät das Rudel etwas außer Kontrolle ohne seine starke Führung – aber dadurch komme ich meinen Betas näher. Sowohl im übertragenen als auch im wörtlichen Sinn. Und ... da gibt es jemanden, der meine ganze Welt mit einem einzigen Drink über den Haufen werfen wird. Nur so viel: Bestellt euch nie einen ›Midnight Whisper‹!
