Across the country poor children, predominantly Catholics, are living in squalor because their families are too poor to keep them fed and clothed.

Nach einem Schiffbruch strandet er auf der Insel Liliput, wo er von den Bewohnern Liliputs erst als Riese bestaunt und dann überlistet wird. Auf der nächsten Reise gerät sein Schiff in einen Sturm. Die Insel, auf die er sich rettet, wird von Riesen bewohnt und wieder gibt es viele Abenteuer zu bestehen.
