The Second Book of Machabees is not, as the name might suggest, a continuation of the First, but covers part of the same ground. The book of Romans was written by Paul the Apostle on his third missionary journey. The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write about life as a person before Christ and life as a believer after Christ.
