The Lost Firebreather

Thirteen years before the events of The Lost Firebreather... The land of Drakona is a continent ruled by five dragon nations.

"Your destiny is calling to you. I can hear its song on the wind." In the secluded swamp of the Shadestalker tribes, Ash always felt like an outcast. To a village of dragons who hide in the shadows, his glittering scales mark him as different. When an accident during his rite of passage leads to him unleashing his dormant powers, he learns a horrifying truth: he's not a Shadestalker at all, but a Firebreather. To make matters worse, the Firebreather kingdom was destroyed by the Ironscale empire thirteen years ago, and its dragons scattered across the continent of Drakona.

A single failure has turned Prince Pike’s world inside out; stripped of rank and expelled from the military academy, his world crumbles further as his father issues a command to the imperial scions: “Enya, Princess of the Firebreathers, must die.” Meanwhile, Ash is on a new journey all his own. His aunt Enya has made a home for herself in the Earthshaper Fiefdoms, so with Scout and Albuca by his side, that is where he’s headed. But the road is rough, and if Ash wants to make it to the Fiefdoms, they’ll have to travel through the perilous deserts of the Burning Lands.
