Aaron Little (M. Div.) is a theologian and cultural analyst whose work draws on an unusually wide range of disciplines—from ancient Near Eastern history and biblical linguistics to clinical psychology, sociology, and political theory. He has spent his life exploring the profound differences between modern Western isolation and true, biblical community, living and ministering in diverse contexts around the globe—Eastern and Western Europe, India, East Asia, South America, Africa, and Native American reservations—and serving as a pastor in the American church before cultivating the art of hospitality at the farm and retreat center he managed for nearly a decade. More recently, like so many biblical characters before him, Aaron followed Jesus' leading into the "wilderness" for a full six-year sabbatical. "Like Jacob on the wrestling mats with God," he says, "I found my courage and confidence not in the cultivation of my own knowledge or insight or spirituality—but in the Spirit's healing and filling of my weak and empty body completely spent on the mats of spiritual wrestling." Now, Aaron's focus has turned outward in resurrecting the lost paradigms of healing, community, and discipleship. Don't Tread On Jesus was written as a "humble guiding light" for his children. It serves as Aaron's urgent, vulnerable invitation for fellow Believers to abandon the comfortable delusions of modern culture and join him in courageously reclaiming the radical, living Church.
