Andreas Wojtaschek was born in 1972 in the Rhineland region of western Germany, where he still lives today with his wife Michaela and their two dogs. "Soul of a Dog" is his debut book, an honest story about trust, fear, and the question of who we become alongside our dogs. His real transformation began with Gandhi, his Rottweiler. Andreas grew up afraid of dogs. Of all things, a 50 kilogram predator became his most honest mirror and taught him that true leadership does not start with control, but with the willingness to work on yourself. He wanted to pass these lessons on to everyone who longs to deepen the bond with their own dog. On his YouTube channel "Wisdom of Paws" he now reaches thousands of dog people with exactly this approach: emotional, honest, and always meeting both human and animal as equals. In more than 50 in-depth videos, he shows how the bond between human and dog can be understood and strengthened step by step. Professionally, Andreas has worked in media since 1991. He gained experience at various radio and television stations, served as editor-in-chief of a private radio station until 2008, and trained as an entertainment producer in 2009. This instinct for storytelling shapes his writing too, in both language and narrative. What fulfills him most, however, is still the time he spends with his dogs Gandhi and Milla. This book grew directly out of that, out of real moments, real mistakes, and the deep conviction that our dogs show us more about ourselves than we often care to admit.
