Dan Blanchard is an Amazon bestselling and award-winning author, TEDx speaker, educator, and YouTube travel show host whose work inspires readers to lead richer, more meaningful lives through leadership, lifelong learning, and history. Over the course of his career, he has been featured on well over 100 television, radio, and podcast programs, sharing his passion for personal growth, education, and the stories that shape who we are. A former host of Mindalia TV, Dan is now the creator and host of Travel in Time with Dan, a travel-history series that explores historic places and the leadership lessons they still teach today. Through his books and videos, he takes readers and viewers beyond names and dates to discover the people, decisions, and timeless ideas that continue to influence our lives. The author of more than 50 books, Dan has written on leadership, education, history, personal development, and travel. His writing journey began after students encouraged him to share the life lessons he taught in the classroom with a wider audience. That simple challenge sparked a career that began with his teen leadership books, The Storm: How Young Boys Become Good Men and A Sprint to the Top: How to Win the Game of Life, and has since grown into an extensive collection of books for educators, students, parents, history enthusiasts, and lifelong learners. Today, Dan's work blends travel, history, and leadership, helping readers discover timeless lessons in the places where history happened. Whether exploring Revolutionary War landmarks, uncovering forgotten stories across New England, or walking the streets where America was shaped, his mission is to inspire curiosity, strengthen character, and encourage a lifetime of learning. A certified special education and social studies teacher, Dan has spent nearly three decades teaching high school history in Connecticut. He is also a Teacher Consultant with the University of Connecticut's Writing Project and was selected by the American Federation of Teachers as the face and voice of educational reform. Dan's passion for learning extends well beyond the classroom. A two-time Junior Olympian wrestler and two-time Junior Olympian wrestling coach, he often jokes that there was "more athlete than student" in him during high school. Determined to keep learning, he went on to complete 14 years of higher education and earn seven college degrees. In addition to his writing and teaching, Dan delivered the TEDx Talk, Breaking Free From Routine: How to Live an Exciting Life, encouraging audiences to embrace curiosity, embrace new experiences, and intentionally create a life filled with purpose and adventure. Dan lives in Connecticut with his wife, Jennifer. Whether through a classroom lesson, a bestselling book, or an episode of Travel in Time with Dan, he believes the best education doesn't just teach us about the past—it helps us build a better future.
