Kathy Vargas is a romance and speculative fiction author working across paranormal, fantasy, horror-leaning romance, and dystopian fiction. Her stories center on dark worlds, complicated relationships, and characters forced into impossible choices. She is the author of the BlackThorne Chronicles, which includes Abyssal Echoes and Elysian Dawn. Her other works include Project Vampire, Deep Currents, Shadows of Eternity, Rise of the Forgotten: Book One of the Chronicles of Elyndoria, and Apocrypha. Several of these stories began as serialized fiction and are now being rewritten and released as full-length novels. Her most recent release, Remember America, is a dystopian novel examining control, memory, and manufactured safety. A U.S. Army veteran, Kathy brings structure and clarity to both her writing and publishing approach. Through Gingerbread Publishing House, she oversees the creative direction and publication of original fiction developed as full novels and long-form series by both herself and other authors.
