Kenneth Dekleva is a spy novelist and psychiatrist in Dallas, TX, who served as a US diplomat, with postings in Moscow, Mexico City, New Delhi, Vienna, and London. He has traveled to over 70 countries worldwide, and speaks Spanish, Serbian, Slovene, and Russian. SPYSCAPE has referred to him as ‘the spy whisperer,’ and novelists such as Paul Vidich (“a cool, knowing, and quietly devastating novel that brings Dekleva in the ranks of such thinking man spy novelists as Alan Furst and Eric Ambler”) and Mossad officer Yariv Inbar ("an intelligent, morally complex thriller with a distinctive spiritual dimension and a bold imagination”) have praised his novels for their characters, settings, plots, and authenticity. Legendary former CIA officer Robert Gorelick wrote, his novel is a “gripping journey into the high-stakes world of espionage—where trust is a weapon, secrets are currency, and the mind is the ultimate battleground. In this shadowy world, understanding the human psyche isn't just an advantage—it’s the difference between life and death.”
