Nicole M. Augustine is a passionate entrepreneur, dedicated public health professional, and relentless social justice advocate. Her remarkable journey in the realm of public health was ignited at the prestigious Cornell University. After earning her degree, Nicole spent three transformative years as a BASICS counselor for Cornell's campus harm reduction initiative, honing her skills and deepening her commitment to the cause. Fueled by her passion and expertise, Nicole pursued further education at the renowned George Washington University School of Public Health, where she completed a Master of Public Health program specializing in Community-Oriented Primary Care. In 2011, she relocated to North Carolina, embarking on an inspiring career as a Prevention Specialist, providing invaluable prevention education and technical assistance to communities in need. In 2015, Nicole's entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish RIZE Consultants. Her exceptional leadership and commitment to public health have propelled the company's rapid growth, expanding its reach to serve communities, professionals, state, and national agencies through training and technical assistance. Nicole's impressive career highlights include serving as Project Coordinator for the Southeast PTTC, Project Director of the NC Behavioral Health Equity Initiative, Prevention Director for the Addiction Professionals of NC, and currently the Region 3/4 Director for SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention TA Center (SPTAC). Beyond her role as the driving force behind RIZE Consultants, Nicole further contributes to the field as an Advanced Implementation Specialist with the SAMHSA's Opioid Response Network (ORN), and a consultant to the SAMHSA's Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC). As the author of the Prevention Specialist Exam Study Guide, Nicole's expertise and dedication to the cause shine through, offering invaluable support to professionals seeking to make a difference in the world of public health.
