His debut series, The Terran Accord, begins with The Awakening, a near-future first-contact story about a disillusioned former Space Force test pilot, an alien mission of hope, and a world forced to decide whether it is ready to grow up. When he is not writing, Colt enjoys sailing, aviation, college football, bourbon, craft beer, and quiet evenings with good music and better company. He lives in coastal North Carolina, where the river meets the Atlantic and stories are never far away.
