Sydney Philippe is the pen name of Julian Sydney Wright Julian originally studied agriculture and researched irrigation systems for hot climates. He worked as a project manager for a large company before becoming a school teacher and a lecturer in Higher Education. Over several years, he developed a significant software product called the Growing Plants Interactive Encyclopaedia, which is used by horticulturists around the world. Julian has written many articles with a particular focus on the environmental issues facing S.E. Asian countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines. In England, he lives in the City of Bath.
