Tim Couet was born in Boston and raised in southeastern Massachusetts where he graduated high school in 2002. A three sport athlete and disciplined student he attended Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg Florida on a partial athletic and academy scholarship. He played baseball for all four years. During college he was introduced to the full gospel for the first time through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, now known as Cru. It was Ephesians 2:8-9 and the idea that salvation was NOT based on works but only by grace through faith in Jesus that changed everything for him. After graduating college, he was hired back by Eckerd College to serve in the student affairs office. During that time he felt the call to ministry. He decided to intern with Cru and began the process to serve on the Tampa staff. However, God had other plans and through a series of only-God circumstances he found himself in the world of politics working as a campaign manager for a powerful state senator. Since then he has served as a civilian in a law enforcement agency, a chief of staff for a state senator and now serves as the Chief Deputy Tax Collector of Pasco County, Florida. Tim and his wife Mettina have been married for over 17 years and have four beautiful children, Naomi, Asher, Judah and Shiloh. They reside in the Tampa Bay area where they homeschool their children and are involved in various theater and sports activities. They are actively involved at Grace Family Church in many capacities with Tim’s passion and mission being in the area of Men’s Ministry. In 2021, Tim began authoring his first book, Identity Assignment and launched his own ministry called Prodigal Man. He currently serves as the host of the acclaimed podcast, Altar’d Manhood and the international podcast, Mentoring Christian Men Worldwide. His passion is for every man in the church to live in the victory that Jesus won for them on the cross and to enjoy the blessing of becoming the leader God has called them to be.
