Izzy Brown hates being twelve. Since she lives at a Thoroughbred horse farm, she wants to do things. Groom, ride, train... the works! But being twelve means she has to have some patience, which she’s totally fine with until the farm owners hire a new breeding manager, who comes with an older daughter who can do all the things Izzy can’t yet. And when the farm purchases a new horse that might be a real contender to beat Izzy’s favorite racehorse, Gray Fox, in the biggest race of the season, her worries start to spiral. Her parents' farm is a crumbling has-been, her jockey career consumes her time, Harris Armstrong won't forgive her for telling a lie that kept her family together.
